25th Mar – Allan R: 26 mile and 900ft. Canal to Crooke, Standish Lower Ground to Giant’s Hall, Gidlow Cemetary, Haigh, Aspull, Borsdane Wood, Hindley, Amberswood, Low Hall, Fir Tree Flash, Plank Lane and back to The Red Pepper along the canal.

18th Mar – Jim T: 20 mile 800ft. Canal towpath to Crooke, Pads’ to Shevington, Elnup Woods, Standish Wood Lane, Chorley Road, Red Rock, Adlington mineral line, Blundell Lane, Little Scotland, Haigh, Mineral line to the canal, TopLock, Hindley GC, Borsdane Wood, Hindley, Amberswood & towpath back to start.

11th Mar – Allan F: 23 mile, 700ft. Saddle Junction, Alexandra Park, Pemberton, Banana Bridge, Water Park, Billinge, Carr Mill Dam, Sankey Valley Trail, Wargrave, Newton-le-Willows, across Haydock Park racecourse, Edge Green, Viridor, Landgate Lane, Devil’s Backbone, Hawkley Woods, CanalTowpath & back to Trencherfield.

4th Mar – Jim T: 23 mile, 1350ft. Haigh Hall, Scotland, Adlington, Babylon Lane, Nickleton Brow, Limbrick, Burgh Lane, Yarrow Valley, Birkacre Brow, Coppull Moor Lane, A49, Mineral Line, Standish Wood Lane, Gidlow Lane and back to Trencherfield

25th Feb – Phil B: Beech Hill, Standish, Eccleston, Robin Hood Lane, Appley Bridge, Shevington, Gathurst and Canal Towpath back to Trencherfield

18th Feb – Jim T: 22 mile 850ft. Barnsley St, to the ‘new’ Standish cycle track, Pepper Lane, Mossy Lea Road, Wrigthington, Parbold, Lees Lane, Appley Bridge, Shevington, Crooke and the canal towpath back to Trencherfield.

11th Feb – Jim T: 18 mile 400ft. Amberswood, Blackberry Drive, Hindley Green, West Leigh, Howe Bridge Cemetery, Lilford Park, Guided Busway, Mather Lane and canal towpath back to Trencherfield.

4th Feb – Jim T: 20 mile and 500ft. Canal towpath to Crooke, Giant’s Hall Rd, Standish Wood Lane, A49 to Leyland Mill Lane, Hall Lane, Whelley Loop, Aspull Sough, Cale Lane, Hindley Golf course, Borsdane Wood, Danes Avenue, Amberswood, Platt Bridge, Viridor Woods, Three Sisters, Devils Backbone, and back along canal towpath.

28th Jan – Jim T: 21 Miles, 1030ft. Haigh Hall, into Blackrod, Horwich and around the Lower Rivington Reservoir. Down Babylon Lane into Adlington, along The Common and across the River Douglas ford at Little Aberdeen. Red Rock and down to Chorley Rd, into Lurdin Ln, Water Drive. Roundmoor Rd on to the ‘new’ cycle route down to Gidlow Lane. Followed by Prescott St and Miry Lane back to Trencherfield Mill.

14th Jan – Allan F: 20 mile. Standish via Gidlow Lane and the new mineral line, Wrightington, Andertons Mill, Parbold via Mawdsley, Lees Lane to Appley Bridge, canal towpath back to Wigan.

24th Dec – Phil B: 22 miles, 700 feet. Westwood Way cycleway, Winstanley, Windy Arbour, Billinge, Carr Mill, Sankey Valley Trail at Blackbrook, Wargrave, Vulcan Village, Newton, Golborne, Haydock Park, Stubshaw Cross, Bamfurlong, back to Wigan.

17th Dec – Denis M: 22 mile Orrell, Tontine, Up Holland, Alma hill, Beacon park, Roby Mill, Lafford lane, Pimbo, Billinge & back to base.

10th Dec – Allan F: 21 mile 1150ft. Cherry Gardens, Haigh Woodland Park, Aspull, Blackrod, Crown Lane into Horwich, Liverpool Castle, Babylon Lane, Adlington, River Douglas ford, Wigan Golf Club, Red Rock, Boars Head, Gidlow Cemetery, Gidlow Lane, Prescott Street, back to Trencherfield.

3rd Dec – Peter H: 21 miles 450 ft. Canal to Plank Lane, past Leigh College, Pennington Park, guided bus way via Bonnywell road, Lilford Park wood, Jubilee Park, Westleigh Lane, Fir Tree Flash, Bickershaw Lane, Amberswood, back to start point.

26th Nov – Tony G: 21miles, 600 feet. Whelley Loop Line, canal, Top Lock, Hindley Golf course, Aspull, Borsdane Wood, Alder Lane, Hindley Green, Bickershaw, “Road to Nowhere”, Fir Tree Flash, Plank Lane, Crankwood, Dover Lock, back to Wigan down the canal.

19th Nov Allan F: 20 mile. Wallgate, Brick Stadium, Kit Green, Gathurst Road, Shevington, Appley Bridge, Lees Lane, Parbold, The Common, Bentley Lane, Andertons Mill, Cardiac Hill, Tunley Lane, Pepper Lane, Mineral Line, Standish Wood Lane, Wigan Lane and back to Trencherfield.

12th Nov Phil B: 19 mile. Parsons Meadow. Westwood Way, canal towpath to Moss Bridge, through the woods at Pearson’s Flash, Cemetery Road, Amberswood & Boardwalks, Low Hall, Hindley, Pig sty track, Bickershaw, Fir Tree Flash, Plank Lane, Crankwood Road, Morris Dancers, Kingsdown Flash, Lee Lane, Platt Bridge and Canal Towpath back to Wigan. 

5th Nov Tony G.: 22 miles and 1000ft. Mesnes Park, Swinley, Haigh Woodland Park, Balcarres, Little Scotland, Blundell’s lane to the canal, Adlington, Duxbury, Yarrow Valley Country Park, Coppull Moor Lane and A49 back to Wigan.
