Interesting day to say the least, or as Phil so eloquently put it “Memorable”. Turned up at Three Sisters expecting half a dozen others at the most, instead there was a full dozen, not full shillings I might add, but a full dozen nonetheless. Had a few no-shows but fully understandable considering the conditions, rained heavily for almost the full ride, not that anyone noticed, don’t think it was practically possible to get any wetter!
We did the full route of 33 miles (much to Jim’s dismay) and thanks to yours truly, did so without a coffee stop, missed out the one we used last time only to find the other venue shut, didn’t go down well I can tell you. Upside was that we got back to Three Sisters, well almost, before the winds picked up and the rain got heavier. Only had the one mechanical, a puncture for Christine, don’t think you’ve got away with it by the way, still your shout at the next coffee stop!
Personal bests mileage wise for Tracy and correct me if i’m wrong, Christine. Hell of an achievement, especially in those conditions. Thanks for coming along everyone, hope you all enjoyed it as much as I did, will settle for half as much if pushed! Learned two things on this one, the camera doesn’t like the rain, but at least its waterproof and you’re all mad!
